In July 2024, Dall Energy entered its second partnership with French green transition pioneer, Coriance. The contract represents Dall Energy's largest project to date and is also part of the biggest district heating initiative in modern French history. The project is part of the expansion of the existing Caen Nord and Hérouville-Saint-Clair heating networks in the Caen la Mer region in northern France. Dall Energy will within this context be providing four heating plants of 12, 5 MW with biomass gasification technology, contributing to the heating of approximately 40.000 households in Caen.

The contribution of Dall Energy for the heating network in Caen makes it possible to have a sustainable energy production - thanks to our biomass gasification technology, which uses local biomass such as garden and park waste as fuel. The expansion of the heating network in Caen will in the future reduce CO2 emissions by 87,000 tons per year. Procurement director Stéphanie Pacaud speaks enthusiastically about the partnership with Dall Energy (see our press release), which now consists of two whole projects: Salon de Provence (10 MW heating plant) and the four plants for Caen.

Stephanie Pacaud

"We are happy to include Dall Energy in this green energy transition-project of the district heating-network for Hérouville-Saint-Clair and Caen Nord. This is an enterprise valued at EUR 250 millions, so we need partners that we can rely on to deliver solutions that work. We have a great collaboration and partnership with Dall Energy in our project in Salon de Provence and on this Caen project, and we are sure that Dall Energy are up to the challenge and will help us secure local energy independence as well as stable and attractive prices"
